Pondering about the nature of life
I invite you to ponder the nature of life — your life. Are you the main character in your story? Are you the victim, or perhaps the one who unintentionally inflicts pain on others?
Take a moment to connect with your breath. Inhale and exhale through the nose, feeling the air flow through each nostril. Is the air warm or cool? Does your belly expand as you inhale and draw inward as you exhale?
What if all our thoughts were programmed from a very early age? What if the thoughts you have are not mindfully chosen, but simply running on autopilot? This is your chance to notice the next thought that arises in your mind. Pause and observe — what does your mind want you to think next?
One thought after another may appear. You might choose to label them by category, or perhaps your mind goes blank for a second or two. Is the one who thinks the thoughts the real you? Or is it the presence — the observer — your true essence?
Your personality is the costume you’ve created to protect your inner self. But today, right now, choose to be present. Keep breathing at a natural pace. Notice the sensations in your body. Let each part of your body relax — your feet grounding down toward the earth, your calf muscles, knees, and upper legs. Feel the weight of your hips and gravity pulling you down, while an imaginary string of light lifts you upward, lengthening your back and core. Feel your arms and hands resting, and notice the shape of your body against the chair or the object supporting you.
There is a duality within all of us — light and darkness. Life can taste both sweet and bitter, depending on the moment. But no matter where you find yourself, pay attention to the signs around you. They’re speaking to you, revealing the vibration you are radiating.
The cosmic game of life communicates with us more often than we realise. Our task is to discover our passion and act with grace and coherence, regardless of the conditions we chose within our life.
